Local, Trustworthy

Our Promise: We'll Take Care of You The Way We'd Take Care of Our Own Family.

Harbin Home Outfitters was founded when our own family experienced firsthand how difficult it can be to find trustworthy, clinically informed accessibility solutions when they are needed most.

We're not just installers. We're a team led by registered nursing and medical social work experience, focused on making accessibility decisions easier, safer, and more practical for the families we serve.

We serve Navarre and Northwest Florida from our headquarters in Fairhope, Alabama. When you need an assessment, we can meet with you in person or virtually and help determine what changes will make the biggest difference.

Why Navarre Homes Need a Local Accessibility Team

Navarre is a growing coastal community near Santa Rosa Sound and Navarre Beach, with a mix of established neighborhoods, newer subdivisions, and waterfront areas that can create different accessibility challenges from one property to the next.

Coastal Homes & Raised Entries

Navarre includes suburban neighborhoods as well as homes closer to Santa Rosa Sound and other waterways. Depending on the property, families may be dealing with raised entrances, porch steps, sloped approaches, or multiple transitions between the driveway and living space. We provide ramps, vertical platform lifts, handrails, grab bars, and entry modifications designed around the actual home.

Coming home from the hospital or rehab

When someone is returning to a Navarre home after a hospital or rehab stay, stairs and entrances that were manageable before can suddenly become major barriers. We work with families, case managers, and discharge planners to identify accessibility needs and help prepare the home for a safer return.

Steps Between the Garage & Home

Even a few steps between the driveway, garage, porch, and main living area can become a serious obstacle when balance, strength, or mobility changes. We help Navarre homeowners create safer everyday access with ramps, handrails, grab bars, and other accessibility solutions based on how they actually move through the home.

Heavy Rain, Heat & Hurricane Weather

Navarre’s location near Santa Rosa Sound and the Gulf means homes can face high humidity, heavy rainfall, tropical storms, hurricanes, and flooding. Outdoor accessibility equipment needs to be selected with those conditions in mind. We install aluminum ramps and weather-rated lift solutions designed for long-term use in Navarre’s coastal environment.

Founded by a Registered Nurse and Medical Social Worker.

Harbin Home Outfitters was founded by James Harbin, MSW, MSN, RN, after his grandfather passed away from a preventable fall.

That background changes how we work. Before we recommend anything, we look at how you actually move through your home. How you get in from the car. How you get to the bathroom at 2 a.m. What happens on a bad day, not just a good one.

Sometimes the answer is a full ramp or a lift. Sometimes it is a few hundred dollars of grab bars in the right spots. We will tell you the truth either way, because that is what we would want someone to do for our own family.
